The project involved finding a solution to a very difficult sloping site. A very imaginative solution was reached, involving innovative use of pleaching to create a horizontal, and grasses to link the garden with the countryside beyond. I had a whole new garden created by Robert Kennett Design. It was the only thing that made moving house bearable! It was a difficult plot on uphill terrain with no rear access so all work and materials had to go through then house. The design took a week and was done exactly to my brief which was vague – I just gave Robert an idea of the sort of overall effect I would like and he created an idea from scratch.
