Primary school support needed for Garden Re-Leaf Day
Garden Re-Leaf Day is a nationwide series of gardening events design to engage gardeners young and old and raise funds for Greenfingers, the charity that builds gardens at children’s hospices. In support of this I have asked local primary schools in Wiltshire and Dorset to create a miniature garden in a seed tray. The gardens will be on show at Pythouse Kitchen Garden, near Tisbury, south Wiltshire, over the weekend of 10th and 11th March and visitors will be asked to vote for their favourite by donating money into the garden’s collection flowerpot. The class whose garden receives the most donations wins Child Passport Tickets to the Sub-Tropical Gardens, Swannery and Children’s Farm at Abbotsbury, south Dorset. Many thanks to Abbotsbury Tourism for kindly donating the prize. If you would like your child’s primary school to get involved please call Robert Kennett, Garden Desinner on 01747 871614. Full details can be found under Robert Kennett at http://www.gardenreleaf.co.uk/Wales_and_West_events.html. Let’s get as many schools involved as possible. It’s free to enter, good educational and creative fun for the children, and it raises invaluable funds for the charity Greenfingers.
