Creating a level country garden
The client wished to level most of the garden which wrapped around the house, higher than indoor ground level in places. The purpose was to open views out to the end of a horse school and beyond to views of countryside. This was to be done in conjunction with the addition of a new conservatory.
The design created utilises staggered beech hedges at 90 degrees to the house to draw the eye outwards into the open space. When in the garden the same hedges also divide the space up into rooms including an extended patio area, lawn with wedding cake tree and an orchard.
