The concept and planting plan are complete for a new potager for a large garden near Shaftesbury where there is currently a wall enclosing a lawn.
The potager features timber-edged raised beds framed in box hedging, arched pergola walkways for sweet peas and climbing roses, a central cutting garden enclosed by espalier fruit trees, a circular raised bed with mulberry tree and lavender and an asparagus hedge screening off the main productive area of raised veg beds. The gentle slope from one end to the other has been transofrmed into staggered level tiers to enhance interest and create routes aound the space.
