Garden Design and Landscaping from RHS Gold Medal Winner

Robert Kennett is an accomplished, seasoned garden designer with over 24 years experience. His gold-medal winning garden for Amnesty International at RHS Hampton Court Palace Flower Show was praised by Monty Don during the BBC’s show coverage as being “where gardening and art come together, really as well as I’ve ever seen”, and Robert was asked the same year to redesign a large walled garden at a prominent National Trust property.

As well as designing gardens for a mix of private clients, schools and property developers in London and the south-west, Robert regularly writes a garden blog and has given talks on many aspects of garden design to horticultural societies and gardening clubs.

Robert’s skill in delivering client satisfaction is to accurately match delivery to client expectation through a strong understanding of client need and tastes. Unlike some designers, who adopt a single design style which they replicate again and again, Robert believes that gardens with enduring appeal stem from a designer’s ability to reflect the individuality and character of each specific project and location. So no two gardens he creates are ever the same.

Robert, 54, lives near Shaftesbury with his wife and two daughters. Robert’s inspiration comes from many sources – from Antoni Gaudi to Philipe Stark, and from classical music and overseas holidays to everyday household items.
